Unemployment in the U.S. for August rose from 9,4 to 9,7 per cent and a maximum of updated since 1983. This is stated in the official press release, U.S. Department of Labor.
It is estimated that officials in August, 216 thousand people lost their jobs. Thus, the unemployment rate increases, but job losses are not so much as in previous months. Analysts, who expected release of the report, did not expect such results. They are, according to AFP, believed that the unemployment rate was 9,5 percent, while the number of laid-off will be at the level of 230 thousand people.

From the report shows that most unemployed teenagers (over 25 per cent), and among blacks - 15.1 percent.In addition, it is noteworthy that the unemployment rate among men is higher than among women (10.1 percent versus 7.6 percent).
