KATMANDU, Nepal — Police in Nepal say a church has collapsed in the eastern part of the country, killing at least 24 people and injuring an additional 62. Police official Arjun Khadka says several people were gathered in the eastern town of Dharan for a Christian conference and most of them were sleeping in the building when it collapsed early Wednesday. The area is about 240 miles southeast of the capital, Katmandu. Among those killed were 17 women and four children. | |
