New Yorkers commemorated the victims of Sept. 11 moment of silence

Eighth anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks was marked in New York, bells and a minute of silence, reports Associated Press. A minute of silence began at 8 hours, 46 minutes am local time (16:46 Moscow time) - at this particular time of day eight years ago, the first of the airliners hijacked by terrorists crashed into the north tower of World Trade Center.
